Cast iron assembly platforms are specifically suitable for mechanical and engine power testing, equipment debugging; they possess good planar stability and toughness, with T-slots on the surface; they can be used to secure experimental equipment for assembly. Assembly plates are also fundamental tools in mechanical manufacturing.
The importance of aging for cast iron assembly platforms: Cast iron plates should undergo two artificial aging processes (annealing treatment) or natural aging for 2-3 years to eliminate internal white iron structures and reduce internal stresses in the cast iron plate castings. This enhances the hardness and wear resistance of the cast iron platform's working surface, ensuring stable accuracy and good performance of the cast iron platform and plate.
Cast iron assembly platforms are primarily used for the assembly, debugging, and securing of workpieces in power mechanical equipment. The surface features T-slots to secure power mechanical equipment. For larger assembly platforms, they can be used in a拼接 configuration.
Cast iron assembly platforms are widely used in machining, tool workshops, machine (inspection) repair workshops, large equipment bases, inspection of计量 and precision machining, measurement, and研磨. They offer high measurement standards for inspecting workpiece flatness, straightness, and angle tolerance detection.
Cast iron assembly platforms are made of cast iron HT200-300, with a working surface hardness of HB170-240. After two artificial treatments (artificial annealing at 600°C-700°C and natural aging for 2-3 years), the product achieves stable accuracy and good performance.
Production process of cast iron assembly platforms:
1. Cast iron assembly platform rough cast: Create technical drawings according to requirements, make wooden patterns based on drawings, prepare materials, mold, dry, cast, shakeout, clean, and inspect various parts of the rough cast.
2. Cast iron assembly platform machining: Visual inspection and marking, securing the workpiece on the machine tool, machining, inspection, and tempering.
3. Cast iron assembly platform on the machine tool: Process according to drawing requirements and send to the inspection department for inspection.
4. Cast iron assembly platform surface treatment, painting, packaging, and storage.
Technical requirements for cast iron assembly platforms:
1. The casting surface of the cast iron assembly platform should be free of molding sand and smooth, with firmly applied paint.
2. The working surface of the cast iron assembly platform must not have defects that severely affect appearance and performance, such as sand holes,气孔, cracks, slag inclusions, shrinkage porosity, scratches, bumps, or rust spots.
3. For plates with accuracy grades 0 to 3, sand holes with a diameter less than 15mm on the working surface may be plugged with the same material, provided the hardness is lower than that of the surrounding material. The working surface should have no more than 4 plugged sand holes, with a spacing of at least 80mm between them.
4. The working surface of the cast iron assembly platform should generally undergo a scraping process. For grade 3 plates processed by scraping, the maximum allowable surface roughness Ra is 5μm.
5. Cast iron assembly platforms should be made of fine-grained gray cast iron or alloy materials, with a working surface hardness of 170-220HB.
6. Flatness tolerance is specified in Table 2.
7. The scraping process should include涂色对研检验. The ratio of contact area displayed after对研 should meet the specifications in Table 3; alternatively, the number of contact points within a 25mm×25mm square area should comply with Table 3, and the variation in contact points between any two 25mm×25mm areas should not exceed 5 points.
Calibration steps for cast iron assembly platforms:
1. According to the assembly plate calibration regulations, visually observe and test the appearance and surface quality.
2. Use surface roughness comparison samples to calibrate the surface roughness of the working surface and sides of the assembly plate.
3. Use a protractor with a resolution of 2 to calibrate the angle between sides.
4. Use calibration tools (with accuracy not lower than the assembly plate or straightedge being calibrated) and the涂色 method to calibrate the contact points of scraped assembly plates.
5. Based on the accuracy grade of the plate being calibrated, select appropriate calibration tools and use the diagonal method to calibrate the flatness of the assembly plate's working surface.
6. Plates that meet the cast iron assembly plate calibration specifications will receive a calibration certificate; those that do not meet the requirements will receive a calibration results notice. The calibration cycle for assembly plates is generally one year, depending on the specific usage conditions.
